Meet Dr. Michael Gleysteen

The field of orthodontics is so rewarding because of the wonderful smiles we create and how those smiles increase the self-esteem of our patients. I love my patients' variety of personalities and I truly enjoy watching my younger patients grow up into wonderful adults.

Outside the Office

I am originally from Sioux City, Iowa, and now reside in Tonka Bay with my wife, Cindy. We have a daughter named Jennifer, a son-in-law named Kevin, a grandson named Conrad, and twin granddaughters, Emilee and Lucie. We also have a new miniature Schnauzer puppy. In my free time I enjoy playing golf and tennis, downhill skiing, fishing, hunting, and windsurfing. I am a member of the Wayzata Chamber of Commerce and have been an orthodontic consultant for over 25 years for the Minneapolis Children's Hospital Cleft and Craniofacial Clinic. I am also a provider for Smiles Change Lives, a program to provide braces free to deserving children who could not otherwise afford it.
