Your First Visit

There is no charge for your initial examination. Dr. Gleysteen will evaluate the dental occlusion and discuss any need for orthodontics and what that may involve, along with timing, cost, and any other particular details.

Diagnostic Records

When treatment is recommended, the next step is to take diagnostic records which include photos of the patients face and teeth, impressions of the teeth to make plaster study models, and X-rays. This information is used to evaluate the situation in greater detail and to develop a custom treatment plan.

Conference

Dr. Gleysteen will review the diagnostic records with you and discuss the treatment plan.

Placing Orthodontic Appliances (braces, expanders, etc.)

Usually three coordinated appointments are needed for placing appliances.

Regular Visits

Patients are usually seen every four to eight weeks apart for about thirty minutes. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Please cancel only if it is an emergency. It can be more difficult to reschedule you since most appointments are make four to eight weeks in advance.

Cost

The cost depends upon the treatment and the severity of the patients problem. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins.

Fees

If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount.
Normal payment plans for full treatment involve initial down payments at banding and then monthly payments spread out over the anticipated treatment time.
For your convenience, we accept payment by Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
Fees delinquent over ninety days will incur a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% APR).

Insurance

If you have insurance, we will assist you in filing your insurance claims so that you may receive the benefits you deserve. Insurance benefits are assigned directly to the insured and we will expect your payments according to the arrangements made.
